Code of Honor by Tonya Burrows

I love the HORNET series, and I've been waiting for Jesse's story since he made an appearance in the Wilde series. In this book, Jesse is struggling. He is dealing with a sullen angry teenage son and discontent with his life direction. The last things he wants to deal with are suddenly being in command and having to be around Lanie, the woman he wants but doesn't want to commit to. A training mission causes him to have to face both of these things and puts him in a truly bad mood.

Lanie wants Jesse, but not if he's the boss. No way will she be accused of sleeping her way to the top, especially since she doesn't quite feel like she is accepted by the team anyway.

When a shocking terrorist attack finds Lanie and Jesse with only a skeleton HORNET crew and some trainees, they really don't have a choice but to work together until he'll can arrive.

This was a really great story with a crazy amount of action, tons of sexual tension, and a great kick butt heroine. In other words, it was everything I expect from Tonya  Borrows.

I requested and received an ARC from Net Galley.
