Into the Firestorm by Kat Martin

Finally we get Luke Brodie's story. I have liked all the Brodie stories, and each one leaves me ready to find out what happens to another character and wanting to hurry and read the next book. It was definitely time for Luke to get his own story.

Emma draws Luke's attention from the start. She's dressed to grab attention, and she definitely has his. Since she is also chatting up a skip he's after, he can't look away. Emma has plans for this skip. She has questions, and she wants his answers. When she takes him down, Luke is shocked to realize she's the new bounty hunter he's been hearing about. He is even more shocked to find out she's also tracking the dangerous man he has been given a lucrative contract to bring in. Not only does he not want to lose the money, but he doesn't want to see Emma hurt or killed, so he agrees to a partnership in order to help her.  Emma wants to do this on her own, but she knows her chances for success and getting her life back are better with Luke. Her family is depending on her. She just has to keep Luke from discovering her real motivations.

I'm definitely still hooked in this series and thankful to have received an ARC from Net Galley for honest review.
