Her Last Word by Mary Burton

Though I have to say I didn't like the format of short chapters jumping back and forth in time, I enjoyed the storyline. I have been a fan of Mary Burton for several years, so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Kaitlin came off as pretty hard at first. She had finally decided she couldn't live with herself until she went back to the site of her worst nightmare and discovered the truth of what really happened. No one was happy about her return, and her first interaction with Detective Adler isn't exactly positive. In fact, most of her interactions don't go well. Her determination never wanes, and eventually Adler finds himself more interested in helping Kaitlin than investigating her and even finds himself feeling protective toward her, not that she plans to wait for protection. This time she won't run away. She's ready to finally face the killer.

The story kept a good pace with plenty of Mary Burton suspense laced with a tinge of romance.

Forbidden by Elisabeth Naughton

It's rare a book catches me completely off guard, but this sexy thrilling page turner did. Every time I thought I had the plot or the characters figured out, something would come out of the blue and alter my perceptions again. I didn't like Luc at first, and I thought Natalie was beyond naive and impetuous. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get into the story, but the more I read, the more I couldn't put it down and the more I understood the characters. The ending was way more shocking than I expected, and I have already bought book two because I can't wait to know what happens!

The Surviving Girls by Katee Robert

I love Katee Robert and this series.  This book especially creeped me out.  There was never a dull or slow moment.  The plot was so convoluted and interconnected and malevolent. I couldn't put it down and was up until 2:00am trying to finish it. The tension had built so much that I couldn't handle not knowing what was about to happen. Dante and Lei were definitely not the typical romantic suspense couple, and the storyline necessitated a slow burn between them, but I loved them nonetheless. I really need to get a story for Emma and Clarke now. I definitely know who I want to see Emma with, but who knows what might happen for her? I hope I get to find out.

Beyond Control by Kat Martin

I've read several books by Kat Martin, including in this series, so I felt sure I would enjoy this story. Tory and her sweet but terrified little girl grabbed my heart from the start. The book starts off with plenty of action, and though it slows down at points to focus on the relationships, it keeps the tension at a high level knowing Tory is always looking over her shoulder and ready to run. Josh's ranch with wounded vets as hired hands was the perfect place for her to hide and regroup. Josh didn't want any trouble or any women on his ranch, but he couldn't turn away Tory after he witnessed her desperation and the fear in her child's eyes. Over time, Tory flourishes and she and Josh forget why it's a bad idea for them to get together. Danger comes for them shortly after and from several fronts. Josh know Tory wants to run, but he's ready to make a stand and end it all. Tory just isn't sure if his stand is based on a hero complex or feelings behind friendship for her.

Captive Lies by Victoria Paige

This was my first Victoria Paige book, but since reading it, I decided to start on her Guardians series and purchased the first book. I really enjoyed this story. Cocky self assured Grant thought he could figure out a way to get whatever he wanted, including the beautiful but secretive Blaire, who helps rescue him from hypothermia. Blaire certainly has reciprocal feelings for Grant, but she knows it can never be forever. She convinces herself it can be for now, but an unfortunate event paints a target on her back she doesn't want to share with Grant. Her disappearance only makes Grant want her even more, and he will do anything and stand up to anyone to have her.

I loved the mix of suspense and hot chemistry throughout this story. Blaire was self sufficient and didn't really need a hero, but Grant filled in the gaps, and together they just fit.

Hot Seal Redemption by Lynne Raye Harris

Whenever I'm offered an ARC from Lynn Raye Harris, you can bet I'm downloading a copy within hours and getting all caught up in whatever story she tells. Though I've read and loved every story in this series, this one was a little different. I totally did not expect Bailey to have the profession she did, and who knew Camel would be good with babies?!? Though this was a pretty straightforward story, and the origin of the danger was pretty obvious and pretty nasty, it was still quite suspenseful. I absolutely loved the scenes with Alexei and Ana. He was fabulous and heart melting with her and searingly sexy with Bailey. The ending packed a huge punch of HOT action and everything else a romantic suspense fan wants. This series is an instant read for me. I definitely need to know what's going to happen with Blade, Kayla, and Neo. Hopefully I won't have to wait long.

The Kill Chain by Nichole Christoff

This book made me so happy! I read the description knowing I was going to love it regardless but reading the relationship between Jamie and Adam would remain in a state of limbo for one more book. I'm so glad I was wrong. As usual, Jamie does most of her investigating on her own, but Adam is always there on the fringes. The situation Jamie finds herself in puts her seemingly at odds with Adam, but we all know how much he loves her and would therefore never truly be against her. The story had an interesting and thought provoking plot that kept me guessing and made me practically unable to put it down. I loved the addition of Rappaport to the usual characters, and I was over the top excited about the ending! This is one of my favorite series, and I will always be ready for more.

My thanks go to Net Galley for granting me an ARC.

Fast Fury by Kaylea Cross

Another amazing DEA FAST book! Best friends Kai and Abby have been missing each other since he was forced to move. Kai has also been away with work. When he finally catches up with Abby, he realizes something is wrong. He also realizes he wants more than just friendship with Abby. Their story has lots of tangled webs and takes you all the way to Hawaii and back.  It moves fast and has plenty of action and a big tattooed alpha guy no one could (or would want to) resist. I enjoy friends turned lovers stories, and this was a great one.

Save Me by Tiffany Snow

Ever since the Kathleen Turner series, I've searched for another series that could just outright own me like that one did. I've read Tiffany Snow's other series and enjoyed them, but not until this one did I finally get utterly hooked again. It had the humor, the danger, the fantastic chemistry, the love triangle that makes it so hard to choose a side, the slightly naive but stronger than she realizes heroine, and the guys you just can't help but fall for.  To add the cherry on top, we even get glimpses of Blane and Kade throughout the series. Up until the end it was hard for me to decide who I wanted China to pick. I was barely leaning one way, and she went the other. I really couldn't be disappointed though since my guy is about to get his own story next. This story was fantastic, and I just have to say that these covers were as well.
Thanks so much, Net Galley, for the ARC.

Lennon Reborn by Scarlett Cole

I do not want this series to end!!! Scarlett Cole has written a group of guys who completely own my heart and some of the most emotional books I've read recently. Jordan and Lennon were the two who affected me the most, and I've been waiting what seems like forever to know the real story behind Lennon and meet three woman who could finally reach him.  This story was everything I'd hoped it would be. It tugged my heart all over the place but made me so happy in the end.
I was thrilled to receive an ARC from Net Galley.

Fast Justice by Kaylea Cross

I love this series, and this book was no different, in fact, it was one of my favorites. It's not often an author can write a truly alpha guy like Malcolm and give him such a tender heart and a mind full of doubts without emasculating him, but Kaylea Cross did it. Malcolm tugged my heart strings and yet still had plenty of the alpha macho vibe we all love to read. I liked feisty Rowan too, and their chemistry was of the charts. As I expect from this series, the action was plentiful, the villains were beyond evil, and the sparks flew. I can't wait to read the next book and get Victoria's story!

Deadly Secret by Tara Thomas

Bea and Knox's story starts in a previous book, so I wouldn't recommend this story be read as a standalone. After a brutal attack, Bea has distanced herself from her husband, Knox. No one knows they are married, and they might not stay that way long enough to tell anyone. Bea has been warned to stay away, and the distance is the only way she knows to keep him safe. Knox is not sure what has happened to his marriage, but he still loves Bea and will do anything or be anything she needs. Neither of them knows where the danger is coming from or why they are in the crosshairs. They just have to find a way to safely work together.

This couple has good chemistry and a real love for each other. The tension was steady throughout since it carried over from the last book. Some things still remain unresolved at the end of this story, but it's not a terrible cliffhanger. In my opinion, this was the best of the series so far.

What Are You Afraid Of? by Alexandra Ivy

Griff doesn't like Carmen and doesn't want to help her. He thinks she is trying to use him to promote herself and her book in some macabre way. Carmen has written a true crime book detailing the crimes of several serial killers.  Someone wants her to think they are recreating these crimes, but are they really? Is it a there a serial killer after her or is someone using her book as a way to cover up her murder? Once Griff realizes Carmen will chase this killer on her own, he decides he won't leave her unprotected and follows after her.

The chemistry between these two is there on a slow simmer. Griff knows the timing is not right, and Carmen is unsure what he really thinks of her. Both are attracted, but they take it slow. There are several possibilities in regard to who is taunting Carmen, and I was slightly surprised in the end.  I like not being able to completely figure things out, so I enjoyed it.

I didn't read book 1 in this series, but this one worked perfectly as a standalone.  I liked Rylan's character, so I will probably go back and read his book. Net Galley provided an ARC for honest review.

Murder Notes by Lisa Renee Jones

I was really excited to have a new Lisa Renee Jones series to start, and the awesome cover drew my eye immediately.  The heroine she creates for this series is FBI agent Lilah Love who specializes in getting inside the heads of murderers. This time, however, it almost seems like someone is trying to get inside hers.  The case takes her back to her past and the town where she grew up.  It is also the place that holds her deepest darkest secret and her deepest darkest former love, Kane. Lilah encounters resistance at every turn, and the case just gets more and more twisted. With Kane and the secret they share added to the mix, there is plenty to hold your attention. While there is some steamy attraction sizzling, Lilah doesn't plan to ever get back with Kane. The story ends on a cliffhanger with quite a few dead bodies, a note leaving stalker, and a couple of mad exes. The next installment releases in the summer, and I will be ready for another dose of the fearlessly blunt and often foul mouthed FBI agent.

The Undercover Billionaire by Jackie Ashenden

I have enjoyed the Tate Brothers series and was looking forward to getting surly Wolf's story.  None of these brothers are nice guys.  They, and especially Wolf, are aggressive, bossy, and ill tempered. They are all also dealing with the fallout of their Dad's death and his final manipulations from beyond the grave and the feud between their family and Olivia's family. To be honest, I have to say that this book started out kind of slow for me, and I was about halfway in before it really hooked me. Once Wolf agreed to let Olivia start helping him through research, things picked up and the story started moving at a better pace. The ending gave a good wrap up of the series, and I loved how Olivia finally grew a backbone.

Protected by Elisabeth Naughton

Kelsey's past experiences have warped her view of herself and led her into an emotionally abusive relationship that took her years to escape. She fails to see her worth, but Hunt sees her value and has wanted her for years.  Despite being best friends with one of her brothers, he was going to make a move just before she ended up with her ex but didn't get the opportunity. Now is not the right time to want her because her brothers have hired him to protect Kelsey from her ex as the divorce finalizes. He risks her brothers' wrath and the possibility of being distracted and letting her get hurt. A catastrophic event brings his feelings to light and stirs up desire in Kelsey, but between her self doubt and Hunt's fear of failing, their road to each other is difficult. Thankfully, there is plenty of action and suspense mixed in with the emotional drama. The action kicks off right at the beginning and keeps the tension high. Since I've enjoyed this author in the past, I requested and received an ARC from Net Galley.

HOT Angel by Lynn Raye Harris f

Just when I think this series couldn't get any better, I get an ARC of this book, and I'm proven wrong. I absolutely adored this story. Brooke and Cade start off texting rather than talking, and that part of the story was so fun and amusing. Brooke is afraid to talk in person because of a traumatic event in her past. (I suggest you read the other books in the series before this to be completely in the loop.) She keeps things at text level until she realizes she needs his help. He answers her frantic phone call, and the rest is history. She is his from that point on as he works to protect her and learn who has killed her neighbor and is after her.  I loved how Cade called Brooke "Angel". It was so sweet and sexy.  He was so patient with her. I'm excited about more books from Cade's team, especially Hacker's story. I can always trust Lynn Raye Harris for a steamy suspenseful action packed read.

Fat Burn by Lori Foster

I've read all the books in this series, and I couldn't wait to get Sahara's story.  In my opinion this was the best cover of the series and possibly the best book. I loved the easy Brand and Sahara interacted with each other, how he adored her strength and how she found her own need to lean on him. The sexy scenes were hot, and there was plenty of action and suspense to keep me pulled in.  I also enjoyed catching up with my favorite characters from the series and the little epilogue which tied a neat little bow on this series which I hate to see end. I wouldn't mind a few more hot sexy alpha male fighters with a protective streak.

I happily requested and received an ARC from Net Galley.

Make Me Want by Katee Robert

I'm a huge fan of Katee Robert's O'Malley series, and even though romance without suspense isn't really my thing the cover and the author sold me on this book. As with all Robert's books I've read so far, the characters had a lot of depth and interesting connections. The chemistry between Lucy and Gideon was great from the start, but Lucy wasn't looking for him. She needed a husband quick, and she wanted a nice safe choice. She just wanted Gideon to help her feel capable of keeping her new husband interested in the bedroom after not having great experiences in the past. Gideon agrees but only to keep her from going to someone else...someone else who might not care about her like he does. He's tasked with finding her a husband, but will he be able to let her go?

This story had fabulous characters and moved at a fast pace with lots of chemistry. I am thankful to have had an opportunity to read an ARC from Net Galley.

Darkest Night by Tara Thomas

We met Tilly in the first book of this series, Shattered Fear, where she shares about her lost love, Keaton. She hasn't seen each other in years, and Tilly believes Keaton broke off contact on purpose. A chance meeting brings them back in touch, and it is almost like the years apart just melt away. They fall in love all over. Unfortunately a killer is hunting, and the victims become gifts left for Tilly. The message is that she's next. Keaton (along with his brothers) will not let that happen.

This story had a lot going on from lost love renewed to a serial killer to a possible stalker to family secrets and secret loves. Keaton was definitely my favorite character. He could be playful but was still pretty decisive and also had good chemistry with Tilly. I also loved the relationships he had with his brothers who are likely to get their own stories. Snarky Kipling kept me amused.

Collision Point by Lora Leigh

Lora Leigh has long been a favorite of mine, and I was excited to see she had this new series. Once I started reading though I figured out this is a spin off of her Elite Ops series. I've read books from the Bound Hearts and Men of Summer series, but never the Elite Ops, so while I didn't feel left behind, I did wish I had all the prior knowledge of these characters. I especially want to know about Noah, so his Elite Ops book has already been added to my wish list.

This story was fabulous! It was crazy sexy and beyond hot. It also had plenty of sustained tension and suspense. Through circumstances beyond their control, Amara and Riordan have been separated and turned against one another. A trauma has left Amara with altered memories and the inability to trust her feelings for Riordan. Her life is in danger though, so she needs him and his protection.

I loved Riordan's super bossy sexy take over alpha ways, and I also adored the way Amara gave flak right back to him. The Malone Irish curse/blessing was a great touch as well and really caught my interest. Now I'm hooked on these characters and need to read through Elite Ops series.

Smoke and Mirrors by Julie Rowe

Julie Rowe is one of my favorites, so I was really excited to get an ARC of this book from Net Galley. I've got to say it is probably my favorite of hers so far. The action started from the very beginning and never let up. There was constant danger, and though Smoke was alpha protector from the get go, Kini wasn't one to let others fight her battles. She barged forward with a to heck with them all attitude and no fear leaving Smoke to catch up. I adored Smoke because of his extreme protectiveness and his ability to say so much while actually saying so little. The dialog in this book was fantastic. So many of the conversations between Kini and Smoke had me completely amused. I liked them so much I'd read more books of just them. They've become one of my new favorite book couples.

Deadly Intent by Pamela Clare

Although I really didn't like the cover for this book, I absolutely loved the content. I've read several books in this series but not all. I've wanted too, but they are a bit pricey for someone who reads as fast as me and will be finished within a few hours. I get really happy when I find an opportunity to request an ARC like this one on Net Galley. After reading the Christmas book, I was hooked on Joaquin. I'm so glad he got his own story and such a strong lady to match his big personality. Mia was a fierce former soldier whose experiences had left her afraid of her feminine side. After two random encounters with Joaquin, one not so friendly, she can't deny she finds him attractive. Fate seems to keep throwing them together, and once danger necessitates her telling her story, all Joaquin's protective instincts roar to life. The two pair up and work with some of Joaquin's friends (featured in previous books) to find out who is targeting Mia before they find her first.

I enjoyed the fast pace, alpha guys, action, and sexy chemistry, and I look forward to reading more of this series.

Straight Up Irish by Magan Vernon

Admittedly, I'm not a contemporary romance fan. I like a healthy dose of action and suspense with my romance. I don't know why I decided to request this book from Net Galley other than really liking the cover and being a sucker for Irish settings. In any case, I'm so glad I did! I adored all the characters, especially Connor. The way he treated Fallon was to die for, and the banter between these two was often quite funny. Their relationship was very romantic and full of sweet moments. The fake marriage theme is extremely common, but this was a bit of a different take. I'm happy to have found this author, and I can't wait to read Connor's brothers' books! I'm curious which one of them might end up with Fallon's quirky bold best friend.

The Kill Wire by Nichole Christoff

It's going to be very hard to review this book without giving important details away. I adore this series, and I requested this ARC from Net Galley within seconds of seeing it. In books 1-3 I was a solid Barrett fan. Book 4 had me very torn but leaning closer to Marc. In this story I finally found my favorite, and I am both sad that he didn't get the girl and happy that she picked who she did. It makes no sense, but it's the truth of things. I really want Jamie committed to one guy and finally getting the attention and romantic sizzle she deserves. Jamie truly shows her mettle in this story as well as her ability to both take it and dish it out. As always, she does what's right in the big picture no matter what. Both Marc and Barrett have their places in this story, and Jamie has to choose where her heart belongs even while in the midst of brutal murders and missing people. This book had even more action/danger/suspense than usual, and the chemistry factor was also kicked up a notch. I loved it, and I need more Jamie asap!

Final Siege by Scarlett Cole

Mac and Delaney grew up together until the point where she transitioned from the tag along little sister of his best friend to the love of his life. Unfortunately the death of her brother caused an irreparable rip between them. For years, Delaney has hated Mac, but suddenly he gets a call that she needs him. He never stopped loving her, and he drops everything to get to her. She doesn't want his help and tries to convince him she can handle herself and is not his responsibility. I do have to admit that I wasn't a big fan of her at first because I didn't want to see Mac treated badly after I loved him from book one in this series.  This story focuses on how they work through their issues in the midst of trying to keep Delaney safe from same of the same people who came after Lou in the last book. It has the typical Scarlett Cole suspense mixed with steamy hot romance.

Run to Me by Cynthia Eden

Cynthia Eden has long been a favorite author of mine because of her super alpha leading men. I have been curious about Jay since the first book in this series, and I was ready for him and the mysterious Willow to get their story. My favorite part of this book was how Jay's intensity and alpha qualities increased exponentially the closer he got to Willow. I also loved how Willow was strong yet knew when she needed her man and wasn't afraid to say so. Their story was super sexy, as all Cynthia Eden stories are, and not lacking in action and suspense. I am not usually a fan of stories with a syfy type aspect and haven't read any of the author's other paranormal series. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this series, but I'm completely roped in. I'm ready to see where West ends up and with who.

Net Galley provided an ARC and made me very happy.

Survive the Night by Katie Ruggle

I've loved this series from the beginning. I adore Jules and her "school friends" and the mysterious man who rescued them and sent them each to this little snowy town. I'd like to have his story sometime. This story was about Otto and Alice/Sarah. Otto is the quiet giant of a town cop who rescues animals in his spare time. He has the patience of a master but gets tongue tied around Sarah. Sarah has barely been allowed out of her family estate, and she's running from serious danger. She knows better than to get into a relationship, but Otto is hard to resist. Otto realizes danger may come, but he doesn't care.

This book was aptly named because the night they end up facing was one crazy non-stop action movie worthy blowout! I like tons of action and a fast pace, and this story delivered!

Shattered Fear by Tara Thomas

I'm going to go 3.75 stars on this one. The jury is still out, but I'm definitely about to start the next book and see where this goes. On the down side, this one reads very new author-ish. The heroine cries a lot for a tough cop, and she really didn't have many reservations about getting involved with a suspect. Her character is a bit inconsistent for me so far. On the up side, I really like Brent even though he was much quicker to forgive than I would have expected. I also felt like the villains were way up there on the creepy scale, and the intimate scenes were pretty steamy. Since this is a continuing series, it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but not to worry, the books are being released close together so the wait time is minimal. I'm going to hold on judgement until I finish book two.

Ace of Spades by Sandra Owens

Finally Nate, the oldest Gentry brother, gets his own story. He has pretty much been in love with his FBI partner, Taylor, for a while though he would never admit it to himself or anyone else. His brothers have met their mates, but Nate had committed to himself to never put himself in the position to risk turning into the type of abuser his father was. Taylor knows he cares about her but knows it's not as much as she cares about him. She wants more but worries about the implications as far as work. All that falls to the backburner when a serial killer seems to be targeting women who look like Taylor. Nate knows she can take care of herself, but he plans to make sure she doesn't have to. Taylor loves the extra attention from Nate, but she doesn't like feeling like she is being handled or coddled. While she is happy he cares, she plans to fight her own battles and take down the killer herself.

I enjoyed catching back up with Alex and Court and their wives then seeing Nate finally learn how to be happy and trust himself. It was a great story with plenty of sexy moments.

Poison Kisses by Lisa Renee Jones

If you read the completely awesome Dirty Money series, you are already familiar with the amazingly sexy Seth. This is his story, and I couldn't be more excited! Stoic Seth who never reveals anything personal finally gets his own story. This started off quick and never slacked off. It was non-stop action, scorching chemistry, and emotions on steroids. The angry sexy sparks coming off of Seth and Amanda should have burned the book to a crisp. They are in love-hate with each other and have been for a while despite a long absence. Fortunately they have a job to do which prevents them from killing each other...for now. This is a serial, so obviously it ends on a cliffhanger, but nothing too terrible. I'm so ready for the rest of this story!

The Bastard's Bargain by Katee Robert

Oh! My! Gosh! This was the best book of the series, and that's saying a lot since this series completely owns me! Dmitri, Wow, just wow! He was so unbelievably sexy, and so completely unaware that he was halfway in love with Kiera before he ever convinced her to choose him. He wasn't a good guy at all, but he certainly treated Keira like his queen. He was every bit her "gentleman murderer" ( so loved that nickname, by the way). This story was crazy hot, super intense, and far exceeded my already high expectations. I'm so sad there are no more O'Malleys left!

Ruled by Anne Marsh

I admit to not being a big fan of MC stories, but I really liked the description, so I gave it a try. Thankfully this was not like some other MC books I've read where it's all about the clubhouse and the politics and what happens there and how the women are demeaned. Obviously it had some club talk and business, but it was primarily about the relationship between Rev and Eve. I loved them together. The story was extremely sexy and had tons of very steamy moments mixed in with the tension between Rev and Eve's brother. I would have liked to see more development of the characters other than Eve and Rev, but overall, I really enjoyed it and will be putting Vik's story in my wish list.

Breaking Point by Allison Brennan

As I say every time I review a Lucy Kincaid novel, Lucy and Sean are absolutely one of my favorite book couples ever. Even though this story had less of their relationship and more action, I just love their connection. I've read all of the Rogan and Kincaid books, and I highly recommend reading all of them in order so that you get the full understanding of all the complicated relationships and can fully appreciate all the amazing characters Allison Brennan has created. This was a fantastic story not for the faint hearted. It centers around sex trafficking, and while realistic, it was definitely not gratuitous. It gave Lucy a chance to rescue others just like she had been rescued. The story had plenty of action and complicated issues along with a huge dose of my favorite Rogans and Kincaids. I loved it and can't wait for more Lucy!

Rules of Engagement by Lily White

This was my first book by Lily White. I admit that I'm sometimes hesitant to try authors I'm not familiar with, but I was really drawn to the cover, and the description was completely intriguing. I couldn't resist, so I requested an ARC from Net Galley. As I started reading, my first reaction was that this book was going to be way more darkly erotic than I was used to, even though I tend to prefer my suspense pretty dark. I almost didn't keep reading, but I'm so glad I did. Turns out it was nowhere near erotica, but it was seriously sexy and twistedly dark. I though for sure I had it figured out a few times, and I definitely had the bad guy narrowed down to two choices. Even though I was pretty sure till the end that I knew which of the two it was, I ended up being wrong and loving that the story was so unpredictable. I would have liked more of a dramatic face to face confrontation at the end, but regardless, I absolutely loved this!

Hot Seal Bride by Lynne Raye Harris

As always with this series, this book was loaded with super sexy guys and plenty of suspense. Cash had been a favorite of mine for a while, and who wouldn't want to see the big guy fall after he's been so adamant that he never will? Ella would not have been what I would have predicted for him. Most of the women in the HOT series have been fierce and strong all on their own. They didn't necessarily need the guys, but they sure did want them. Ella was different. She truly needed Cash. At first she seemed week, naive, and needy, but as the story developed, her core of steel began to make an appearance. I especially loved how she handled her cousins at the end of the book. She didn't start off seeming like she should be a HOT heroine, but she totally earned her place with them and her place in Cash's heart. He finally fell, and I couldn't be happier. I also enjoyed the excerpt at the end from the next book. I can't wait to see what happens with Camel. I happily received an ARC from the publisher.

No Regrets by Julie Moffatt

Smart but so naive, could there be a more quirky and lovable heroine than Lexi Carmichael? Every book in this series has had me laughing out loud at something outrageous Lexi has said or done. This book finally sees Xavier and Basia getting married. Yay! Lexi is struggling through her maid of honor duties with Slash by her side as the calm in the storm. After the highly eventful wedding, Lexi is looking forward to some down time and unpacking some of the boxes in her and Slash's new house. Unfortunately, she doesn't get her wish. She gets tasked with a top secret mission which she must undertake alone. What sounded like an easy mission turns out to be anything but, and it just wouldn't be a Lexi adventure without the several other unrelated and unexpected events happening simultaneously. In the end though Lexi can always count on her friends to have her back and be there just when she needs them.

The romance between Slash and Lexi has so many poignant moments in this story. I absolutely loved how their relationship progressed. Xavier and Basia got their happily ever after, and even Elvis is finally coming into his own. I love these characters, and I adore this series!

Nikan Rebuilt by Scarlett Cole

I absolutely loved Scarlett Cole's Second Circle series because of the phenomenal characters and the well written suspense. She introduced the guys of Preload in that series, and they just immediately stole my heart. Their backstory was so sad, and I just had to now more. I was so excited when she started writing this series although admittedly a bit disappointed that it wasn't a suspense series. I wasn't sure I would I would like it as much, but I absolutely do. While there is very little suspense, there is so much emotional turmoil and such depth of characters. The guys of Preload have such a strong sense of family and such a sad history to overcome. They completely have my heart. I actually delayed reading this particular book because the reviews were so conflicting and many were negative. I was afraid to be disappointed, but I definitely wasn't. Nikan's story was everything I hoped it would be. I absolutely loved it, and I simply cannot wait to see Lennon get his happily ever after next.

Rocco by Sarah Castille

I am so absolutely in love with this series!!! Every book just pulls me farther and farther in. I could see the potential in Rocco from the last book, and I wanted his story so bad! This absolutely didn't disappoint. It was my favorite story so far. I'm a sucker for a bad guy who thinks he's irredeemable and a courageously spunky woman who just won't let him go until he sees himself like she does. The fact that the whole book is full of action, intrigue, and spicy sexy chemistry is a total bonus! This series is spectacular and absolutely must be read in order. So much happens and trails threads from book to book. I can't wait to see who is featured in book 4!

End Game by Lisa Renee Jones

NO!!! It can't be the end! I need more! You would think after 4 books about the same couple I would be ready for it finish up, but I so wasn't! This series has been such an emotional roller coaster. sometimes I literally ended up holding my breath. Just when I thought I knew what was about to happen, Ms. Jones would completely throw me for a loop. I don't want to give away any part of this story, so I will just say the wrap up was everything I hoped it would be. I'm just hopeful Shane and Emily will show up in future books about some of my other favorite characters from this series (Seth!!!).

The Billionaires: The Stepbrothers by Calista Fox

The Billionaires is a great Calista Fox series. Most of these books have taken place in a small town called River Cross, but this story splits time between New York and Montana. The two men featured couldn't have been more different or more supportive and protective of each other. Both feel for Scarlett pretty much on sight, but neither was really looking for a relationship, particularly Sam whose last relationship ended in tragedy. Both of the step brothers are suspects in the possible insurance fraud Scarlett is investigating, but both proclaim their innocence. The further Scarlett investigates, the more certain she is that whatever results she finds will destroy fragile relationship she is trying to build with Michael and Sam.

If you like super sexy and don't mind a little bit of two on one fantasy, then this is perfect for you since it is not just steamy but actually has a real plot with some convoluted issues.

Edge of Truth by Brynn Kelly

I was not familiar with this author at all, but the description pulled my interest. I'm so glad I gave it a try. I loved it more than I thought I would. French Legionnaires were a new and interesting reading experience for me. This story was sexy and a constant source of action. Both Tess and Flynn were exceptionally courageous, and Tess had strong values which guided her actions. Flynn struggled with trust due to an encounter with a reporter in his past who burned him and spoiled him for relationships. Both had a strong sense of purpose, and neither was willing to give up or back down. Tess also had a difficult time trusting, but eventually she needed Flynn's help. As much as he needed to get away from the risk Tess presented, he just couldn't seem to leave her. The two of them end up in constant danger and enlisting the help of Flynn's brothers in arms.

I loved all the interesting personalities of all of Flynn's buddies. I can't wait to read all of their stories! I've already added book one to my wish list! Net Galley provided an ARC.

Brazilian Surrender by Carmen Falcone

I have read all the books in this series and eagerly awaited the release of this one. Finally a book about the sister of the Duarte family. I admit I missed the Brazilian setting since this one was set in New York. Although I admired Camilla's independence and her desire to make it on her own, I did think she took the privacy issue a bit overboard and should ave let her brothers help protect her (especially since I wanted more of them in this book), but she chose her help wisely and hired Jaeger. He has the street smarts Camilla lacks. He takes her stalker seriously and starts the hunt. Jaeger is confident in his abilities, but he is not confident he can keep his distance from Camilla. He has distanced himself from everyone since he lost his wife and child years ago, and he really doesn't want the risk connections result in. Regardless, she tempts him and the chemistry is enough that they finally give in. Now Jaeger not only has to worry about Camilla's safety but also his own heart if anything happens to her.

The first book in this series remains my favorite, but I really enjoyed this one as well. ARC provided by Net Galley.

Mine to Save by Diana Gardin

I've read one other book by this author, but not any of the other books in this series. I enjoyed my first book by Diana Gardin, and I guess I just got busy and forgot to ever go back and check out more of her work. I felt just slightly behind at first since I wasn't familiar with characters from the previous books and their histories, but I was able to easily catch up since the author blended in recap information. As for the storyline, Sayward suffers from autism which affects her social interactions. Bennett has been secretly interested in Sayward, and her boss uses that to recruit him away from a job which he has no passion for, just an obligation. AS soon as he is hired, Bennett ends up working as protection for Sayward whose brother has arrived from Columbia after years of non-contact. He wants to take her back to Columbia where her life is in danger. Her boss wants er protected on the trip, and Bennett is the man for the job.

I loved the interactions and conversations between Bennett and Sayward. Watching their relationship develop was fun. I especially loved how he called her beautiful. They had such great chemistry. The suspense and action are what typically seen me on a book, and this one was definitely not lacking. I'm ready to go back and read the previous books in this series so I will be caught up when the next one comes out.
