Chance of a Lifetime by Marissa Clarke

I found this book on Net Galley and just had to request it after reading the description, despite not having read the first two books in the series (or anything else by this author). I was very excited when I was given a copy for review. It certainly worked well as a standalone, but I loved the brothers so much that I've already put the first two books in my wish list.

Chance is the youngest brother in his family. Compared to them, he is more of a free spirit though also less interested in the limelight. For practically all of his life, Chance has been in love with his friend's little sister. Unfortunately, there is nothing worse than falling in love with your friend's sister, unless of course said sister is blind and smothered by over protection.

Gen has always loved Chance too, but he left her when she needed him the most. She hasn't seen him in ten years, and she doesn't know it's him when she decides to cross off bucket list item number one and kiss a stranger. Things go up and downhill from there. Gen wants to finish her bucket list, but she needs a bit of assistance. Her best friend is unavailable, so despite her current aversion to Chance, she decides to use him. She doesn't question whether or not he can keep her physically safe, but will Chance destroy what's left of her heart in the process?
