Resurrection River by Lindsay Cross

This story is book two in the Men of Mercy series, and oh what men they are...whew! While this could definitely be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading book one first. You will love it, so start there. Resurrection River focuses on Ranger, the brother of the hero from book one, Hunter. The relationship between Ranger and Amy started long before this book, but somewhere along the line it got messed up. That didn't stop the two from having feelings for each other, although Amy's marriage to Ranger's best friend does keep them from acting on those feelings...at least until he dies. Ranger had to deliver the news of his friend's death, and steps up to take care of Amy and her baby. Amy wants to be with Ranger, but feels guilt. The two clash frequently over Amy's doubts, but when dangerous things begin to happen surrounding her, Ranger is determined not to ever leave her side regardless of what she wants or who else wants her.

I loved this story just as much as book one, maybe even more. Ranger was totally swoon worthy, and Amy was spunky and determined. When this couple gets hot and bothered, serious sparks fly. I love them and the other men from Ranger's team. I can't wait to see who gets the next story! I'm hoping it's Merc!

I received an early copy for review from the author.
