Take Me Back by Rosalind James

I've liked this series from the beginning and was excited to read this story. Hallie is from Paradise, but she's been away for several years. She had no intentions of staying. She just wants to attend her father's funeral and go back home. Her father, who was one of the most hated men in town with good reason, had other plans for her. His will leaves her tied to a house and a town she doesn't want and a man she does want but definitely can't have, not unless she wants to lose everything. Jim wants Hallie, and he might not be above risking it all for some alone time with her. Their push/pull relationship throws off some serious sparks until someone begins to target Hallie. Jim has a hard time trying to protect her because the will has her almost afraid to be seen with him. Jim has no intention of letting her get hurt regardless of the terms of the will.

As always, I will be ready and waiting for the next book in this great suspense series to come out.

I received an ARC from Net Galley for honest review.
